A stocking full of sweets and my third award

Hello everyone!!!

It was the Feast of the Epiphany today in Italy, as some of you might know, and it's sadly also the last day of Christmas.

According to the Italian tradition, every child (and a few grown-ups as well) wakes up on January 6th to find their stockings being filled with sweets, chocolate and toys by the Befana, a kind old witch who brings them gift on Twelfth Night (she is also said to bring lumps of coal to naughty kids).

As you can see, I was no exception to this tradition and this is what I found in my stocking this morning...

Oggi in Italia abbiamo celebrato la festa dell'Epifania, che come alcuni di voi forse sapranno, segna anche la fine delle festività natalizie.

Secondo la tradizione italiana, ogni bambino (e anche alcuni adulti, a dir la verità) si sveglia la mattina del 6 gennaio e trova una calza piena di dolci, cioccolata e regali riempita nottetempo dalla Befana, una vecchia strega buona il cui compito è proprio quello di portare doni ai bambini buoni e carbone a quelli cattivi.

And since we are talking about sweets, how could I not show you the Pandolce (a typical festive dessert) my mum and I baked yesterday?

We made both a big one and a few little ones. They all have raisins, dried figs, pinoles and chocolate chips in them... they are totally yummy!

E visto che si parla di dolci, come potrei non mostrarvi il pandolce che abbiamo preparato ieri la mia mamma ed io?

Ne abbiamo fatto uno in versione grande e alcuni più piccolini. Ciascuno di essi contiene uvetta, fichi secchi, pinoli e gocce di cioccolato... sono assolutamente deliziosi!

1. I love everything Hello Kitty. I have lots of mini-figures, accessories (Including plasters) and even A Few items of clothing bearing the image of all the cute Japanese cat.

I love playing with fashion and experimenting with it, but at the same time I think I'm quite good at giving styling advice to whoever asks me.
